BioUm, yeah. I'm a huge nerd. Just look at my journal, at the communities I belong to, at my friends, et cetera. I'm a fangirl in the best sense of the word - when I squee, it's because I really care about a character and the emotions they're going through, not because Edward Crapforbrains is sooooooo hawt. Okay, sometimes it's because Nathan Fillion did something cute again, but STILL, my real interest is in fictional people and their fictional interpersonal relationships, and it's not always romance. (I can be a bit of a slasher I suppose, but I PROMISE I try to tone down those instincts and see how the two characters are REALLY meant to interact.) I also love universes, and all the possibilities, hence the love of Firefly and Star Trek and Buffy and Havemercy and et cetera, et cetera. And of course, in the words of one Miss Bennet, "I dearly love to laugh."
I live in some of my own fictional worlds, too. I want to be a real freaking published author someday. But you're probably not interested in that, because really, we're all here to fangirl/boy over the real masters of the art, aren't we?
